One who learns in order to teach
finds success in both. (Avot 4.5)
The Hebrew root ל.מ.ד. means both "learn" and "teach." In Judaism, they are complementary facets of an unending process. Together they constitute Talmud Torah, one of the central pillars of Jewish life. I ground my rabbinate in this lifelong search for meaning through critical, loving engagement with our sacred texts.
In this section you can browse a sample of my curricula, lesson plans, and text studies.
